- Got the Zip and it's a pip! Got it working nicely with CrossDos (gosh, sure am
- glad I paid for it) and everything seems very happy now that I have my arsenal
- of mountlists and read that one message in the newsgroup reminding me that
- CrossDos hard-drive names have to end in C (first partition) or D (second
- partition), etc. That was a real brain-teaser up 'til that point.
-
- But here's the only really goofy thing I'm experiencing now. Janus refuses to
- load on the Bridgeboard if the Zip is powered up. If I unplug the Zip brick
- from the wall before booting, Janus loads fine and I can then power up
- the Zip post-boot time and manually mount it. Weird oddity of the week: simply
- popping the plug from the side of the Zip no workee. You have to yank the
- brick and leave the mini power plug in the Zip's side.
-
- I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is so. To the non-guru it
- makes no sense at all. Anyone out there have an explanation, or better yet, a
- solution to the problem?
